billQ is here. After a few months of hard work and testing, we are ready to officially launch our first web application. If you have been looking for an easy way to keep track of your bills, then you should head over to the billQ site and sign up.
Some of the features you might find useful are:
- Color-coded bill lists so you can see what's due at a glance.
- Scheduled bills so you set up a bill once, and let billQ do the rest.
- Groups so you can invite people and share common bills (like rent).
- Email or SMS reminders from billQ so you never forget a bill.
- And more. Sign up to find out.
So why did we create billQ? Well first of all, we needed to fill an immediate personal need to keep track of an increasing amount of bills (you all know the feeling). But secondly, and in the bigger picture, we feel that current personal financial management options are inadequate. They are too complicated, confusing, costly, etc. billQ is our first step in making managing your personal financial life easier. We started with managing your bills, but we hope to move from there. So if you feel the same way we do, try out billQ.
We'd also like to thank and acknowledge all the people that provided us with such amazing feedback during the beta testing of billQ. While we're sure that a few bugs will pop up (nothing is ever perfect), it was because of them that billQ continues to run so smoothly.
Finally, we just wanted to address something concerning privacy. We understand that initially some might be hesitant to put there bill information online and in someone else's hands. But the only information you will need for bills in billQ are their name, amount, and due date. That's it. No account numbers, or passwords or anything like that. And as always, only enter information you are comfortable with. You could always name a bill "Bill 1," estimate its amount, and keep track of it based on your own naming conventions. Also, be sure to read the privacy policy for more information.
We hope you find billQ as useful as we do. We have been using it to help manage our own bills for the past few months now, and have been extremely happy with it. So if you have any questions or comments, please post a reply or send us an email.
UPDATE: You can digg billQ. Please do.
