Things will probably be pretty quiet around here for the next week or so as we head out of the office, but we'll return full-force in the new year. And as far as this past year goes, we feel it's been a fairly successful 2006. But we really view it as more of an introduction, the start of the conversation, so we aren't satisfied yet.
Looking ahead, 2007 will bring some updates on the billQ front, some expected, and some more interesting and surprising developments. We also plan to show off the client work we've been busy with over the last couple of months. Additionally, we hope to refresh our company websites in the new year; both visually and conceptually. Which leads to the next point.
This blog. Over the course of the year we have been experimenting with some formats, figuring out what makes blog articles effective, and developing our voice, personality and perspective. This is an ongoing process, but we wouldn't mind some feedback. To start off: What have we done that's made you glad you subscribe to our feed? What have we done (or failed to do) that makes you consider deleting our feed? Have we provided valuable information and perspective? Or are we just saying the same crap as everyone else?
We have been considering moving away from the punditry and more towards practical tips-and-tricks and behind-the-scenes looks at our products and processes in future blog posts. We really started this to share some knowledge and keep people up-to-date on our projects, but sometimes it feels like we (and everyone else in the "blogosphere") endlessly opine over the same stuff. We'd rather not fall into that trap and loose sight of our other intentions. So again, let us know if this is the case. And if you have any other kinds of suggestions, bring 'em on.
In closing, thanks to everyone who has read our blog, posted a comment, sent us an email, signed up for billQ, gave us feedback and suggestions, told your friends about us, our blog, our products, or supported us in any way. We really appreciate it and we hope to give you more to talk about next year. Have a good holiday and see you soon.
